Thank you for your interest in the Wisconsin Batterers Treatment Providers Association (WBTPA)!

The WBTPA formed in the year 2000, to oversee the ongoing development and implementation of the State of Wisconsin Male Batterers Treatment Standards. These standards were developed in collaboration with the membership of the WBTPA and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and were endorsed by the Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse in 2007.

Eligible entities for WBTPA provider certification provide assessment and treatment to people who have used violence in their relationships.  Certified entities typically include those working within mental health agencies, domestic violence agencies, those affiliated with the Department of Corrections, or those who operate their own private business to provide such services.

Other entities that do not offer treatment are eligible to be associate members of the WBTPA.  Associate membership signifies support for the work of treatment providers around Wisconsin and alignment with the WBTPA mission.

The membership year runs from June 1st through May 30th.

If any or all of the elements listed above are applicable to your role, we encourage you to submit an application and join our efforts to end domestic violence in Wisconsin.  If you have any questions about membership, please send them to wbtpa18@gmail.com.

We currently offer five membership options:
